Flotation Energy reaffirmed its dedication to corporate social responsibility and local community engagement by participating in the Mullet Festival organised by the Hsin Chu Fishermen’s Association (HCFA) on November 30.

Demonstrating support for the local fishing industry and charitable causes, Flotation Energy purchased locally sourced seafood from Hsinchu and donated 250 meals, distributed across 25 gift boxes, to three charitable organizations.

William Lin, representing Flotation Energy, emphasised the significance of the initiative. He stated that the gift boxes contain premium-quality seafood sourced locally, underscoring the company’s dedication to supporting the fishing community and assisting vulnerable groups. He added that these meals aim to bring comfort to those in need and reflect Flotation Energy’s commitment to collaborating with the fishermen’s association and local residents to drive regional development.

Mr. Tung, Secretary-General of HCFA, expressed heartfelt appreciation for Flotation Energy’s contributions. He noted that the company’s support for disadvantaged groups and investment in Hsinchu is highly commendable. Building a stronger local community requires collective effort, and Flotation Energy’s commitment sets an excellent example.

The Mullet Festival, held annually during the peak mullet farming season, highlights the rich seafood heritage of the Hsinchu region. Mullet farmers in Zhubei harvest mature fish to produce prized mullet roe products, which take centre stage at the festival. This year’s event included a Mullet Festival Market showcasing an array of mullet-inspired delicacies, such as mullet balls, mullet roe, and specialty dishes, delighting attendees and promoting seafood consumption education.

Flotation Energy sourced a selection of local seafood, including seabass fillets, milkfish belly, cuttlefish balls, flying fish roe sausages, and ribbonfish segments, to create the gift boxes. These were donated to the Zhubei City Elderly Care Centre, the Hsinchu County Dandelion Association, and the Hsinchu County Association for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Participation in the Mullet Festival underscores Flotation Energy’s dedication to the local community, the fishing industry, and the well-being of Hsinchu’s most vulnerable groups, reinforcing its role as a valued partner in regional development.
